The script has been changed since the first idea... In fact, the basic script was supposed to show the different stage and moment of the notorious night that the principal character cannot remember.
I wanted to show the character coming out from a car in front of the club, then the feet of the people who are waiting in front of the club, the girl (more precisely only her feet) going through the corridor of the club and finally arriving on the dance floor. But the main problem was that I was not 18 at this time and the bouncer, after a long time of negociation, decided not to let me in. So I was obviously not able to film all this part in the club... The scene in the toilets could be filmed in any place or pub so I did not have many difficulties to film this. Except the fact that the boss of the pub asked me to come in the morning around 11, when the pub opens in order not to have to many customers that could be bothered. Because, yes, we experienced the joy of being in front of a drunk man that was not able anymore to understand why we would be filming someone smoking outside late in the evening (we shot the close-up of the cigarette and the lips in front of a pub where we were spending the evening). So we had to explain that, no, he would not appear in the film, even if he really wanted to; no, we are not filming with Scarlett Johanson, therefore we cannot tell her how much he likes her; and finally, to quiet down because he started shouting at us, saying that anyway, the British cinema won't be relauched thanks to us...
