General idea of the film: She will live in one night what's gonna happen in her life in the next two months.
STORY IDEA
A girl called Alix.
A nightclub.
She is drunk.
First, Alix meets a nice boy, Paul. Half-French half-Japanese, her dream. She is almost sure to have seen him before. Probably in her district. But she forgets about it. He seems to be well educated, has very good manners, she is under his spell when he speaks french. They make out. She looses his tracks.
Then, Alix meets another boy, a black boy, Hams. What actually attracts her is the way he dances: they will warm up the whole nightclub with an amazing dance, pretty sexual. He whispers the lyrics of every song to her ears, looks at her passionately. They will get laid in the toilets of the nightclub. She looses his tracks.
Finally, during the last dance, Alix meets an ex-boyfriend who unfortunately turned gay after their relationship. Joe is gorgeous. He tells her a bit about his life: he is single now, had an extraordinary experience with an Egyptian boy, changed his haircut after he broke up with his boyfriend. She is a bit confused, she hadn't seen him since they broke up. But she is very happy to see him again. He kisses her on the lips. She is surprised, but anyways, he is gay now.
The night was tough.
The hangover is huge.
Alix's memories are not even existing.
She will meet Paul again, he will become her boyfriend. She will be deeply in love and they will follow a very stable relationship.
She will meet Hams again, they will become lovers. There are no strings attached, they have sex, sometimes. It is a simple physical attraction.
She will meet Joe again. After a nice afternoon spent together, a very romantic dinner and an after-party in a club, they will get laid. Just once. Probably a memory of the good times they used to have.
The film is based on these interactions between people, these strange relationships.
Paul will find out about Hams and Alix. He will be desperate. During a long night with many drinks to forget his sadness, he will meet a very pleasant gay guy. Called Joe... Very seductive young man, he tries everything to spend more time with Paul. They will exchange one kiss, when they were both together at Joe's place. A strange situation for Paul, but he has to live with it now.
Hams, after two weeks of holidays, will come back changed, he won't be the same person. Alix missed him, tries to call him, to see him. But Hams seems to be concerned with someone else.
Alix gets jealous about Hams. She feels bad for Paul, who really loves her. And Joe, why did she do this with him?
Getting seriously confused, she will arrange a cafe with the three boys:
Paul, her boyfriend
Hams, her Love Affair
and Joe, her Gay-Ex-Boyfriend.
She will confess what she did. Everything she did.
As one goes along, the three boys will also confess what they did. No one was fair with itself. Everyone lied to itself. They tried to manipulate feelings and urges. And they collapsed.
After this difficult ordeal, they split up one with another. Every one starts a new life.
Alix remains single, in London. Paul goes back to Paris. Hams has some affair to solve in New-York. Joe continues his life in Amsterdam, where he settled down with his new boyfriend.
Everything seems to be buried. Everything is fine.
Until this notorious night, in a nightclub in Barcelona, where all of them meet again........
Alix, Paul, Hams and Joe.
Again and again.
The film has no proper end. They meet again, the same story will happen again. It is a vicious circle.
WHAT ABOUT THE OPENING SCENE ?
We will see short sequences of elements we can see in a nightclub, of events that can happen in a nightclub after a few drinks.
The outline is basically short slow motion sequence / fade to black / fade up / short slow motion sequence. It should look like the vague memory we have the day after a quite hard night.
